Female Family Support Worker – Buxton, Derbyshire

Good News Family Care is seeking a caring, motivated Christian woman to join our Family Centre Support Team in Buxton, Derbyshire. This rewarding role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable women and children experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse and related challenges.

Working as a Female Family Support Worker, you will be a key member of our support team, helping residents in our Residential Family Centre, refuge and move-on accommodation in the community. You will use your qualifications, skills and experience to provide practical and emotional support, helping women and children develop the confidence and skills they need to live independently and ultimately secure permanent accommodation.

This is a 20-hour-per-week position, with additional hours potentially available. The starting salary is £12.71 per hour, negotiable depending on experience. The role requires flexibility and includes overnight sleep-in duties.

The successful applicant must be fully committed to the charity’s Christian ethos, Statement of Faith and aims. All appointments are subject to the successful completion of a DBS check.
