An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Teaching Assistant with pastoral duties, taking on the role of Deputy Year Leader for Year 8.
If you have a passion for working with young people, with a focus on students’ learning, their social and emotional development and are looking to work within a supportive and professional team, we would love to hear from you.
Your opportunity
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant with pastoral responsibilities, who will also serve as Deputy Year Leader for Year 8. This combined role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on both the academic and personal development of our students.
As part of the classroom team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Class Teacher to deliver high‑quality learning experiences, contributing to the progress, welfare and overall development of students. You will work directly with individuals and small groups, including those requiring specialist support, and may also deliver targeted interventions outside the classroom depending on your strengths and areas of expertise.
Alongside this, you will take on key pastoral responsibilities as Deputy Year Leader for Year 8. Working closely with the Year Leader, you will help promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and achievement, providing tailored support to students and families. You will contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing school culture, ensuring that every student feels supported and able to thrive.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to improving life chances and supporting students both academically and pastorally.
