Female Family Support Worker

Good News Family Care is seeking a caring and motivated Christian women to join our Family Centre Support Team in delivering all aspects of the Residential Service. 

This is a 20 hour a week role (additional hours may be available) Salary starting point at £12.71 (negotiable depending on experience).

Good New Family Care is a Christian charity based in Buxton, Derbyshire, providing accommodation and support for families in crisis since 1994. Our Residential Family Centre  in Buxton offers accommodation and support to women and children who are homeless, fleeing domestic abuse and who may also experience related mental health difficulties.

A a key member of the support team you would use your qualifications and experience to support vulnerable women and children in our residential/ refuge centre and move - on accommodation in the community, supporting them to live independently and eventually find permanent accommodation.

You must be able to work flexible hours and the post requires overnight sleep-ins.

Please note that this role has a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to be fully committed to the charity's Christian ethos, statement of faith and aims. 

All appointments are subject to  the successful completion of a DBS check.
