A successful 11–16 secondary school in Bury is seeking a Pastoral Support Mentor to join its pastoral team from September.
This is a three-day-per-week position, initially until October half term, with the possibility of continuing beyond for the right person.
You'll play an important role in supporting students who need additional guidance, helping them reflect on their behaviour, rebuild confidence, and return positively to learning.

Pastoral care sits at the heart of the school's approach, with staff working together to ensure students receive the guidance and support they need both inside and outside the classroom.
You'll work closely with a member of the pastoral team to:
Supervise the school's reflection room
Support students displaying challenging behaviour
Deliver restorative conversations
Encourage students to reflect on their choices
Help students reintegrate successfully into lessons
Promote positive behaviour across the school
This role would suit someone with previous experience in:

You'll be patient, approachable, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with young people.
