Part-Time Youth Worker

This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational leader who feels called to share God’s love with a new generation to build upon our proud history of great investment in youth.

Bridge Community Church is a lively family orientated two site church where we value growing together in discipleship learning, joyful gatherings and going on Spirit led compassionate adventures individually and together.

Key Details:

• Part-time (25 hours per week, including evenings & weekends)
• Salary: £24,000–£28,000 (full-time equivalent)
• Location: Bury St Edmunds
• Pension scheme included

• Right to work in the UK required

About the Role: 

• Lead and nurture the spiritual growth of young people
• Create engaging programmes including Bible study, worship, and socials
• Build strong relationships with young people, families, and volunteers
• Develop a clear and effective youth ministry strategy
• Encourage young people to play an active role in church life
• Provide pastoral care and support to youth and their families
• Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers
• Ensure safeguarding best practice is followed
• Build links with schools and local organisations (where possible)

About You: 

• Experience working with young people (church, school, or community)
• Passion to help young people grow in Christian faith
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Organised, creative, and self-motivated
• Understanding of safeguarding
• Confident with IT and social media - You must also be a committed practising Christian able to model Christian discipleship.
